Description
Salt creeps where memory cannot reach: each night, a new stain where the table once stood. My hands recall the latticework of vanished fences, but here, pigment and water bargain in tongues I cannot translate—fracture, seepage, refusal. The old silk sizing yields unpredictable architectures, each boundary a wound that will not blend or heal. I hang the print where the north window’s breath can find it; light angles betray secrets I did not intend. There is no passage now—only the unravel: a field where the membrane collapses, the scaffolding of intention left weather-stripped and shorn. I sketched this dark filigree after midnight, hands salt-bitten, moon’s hush rinsing old thresholds away. The wildflowers at the edge flicker and retreat—luminescence at the farthest limit of scent. Nothing crosses here. Only the ache of what once held shape. Breath fogged on glass, pigment refusing the seam. This is what it cost—an absence you can touch.
