Description

Salt-handed, I tore the surface open—felt the silk resist, then yield. The pigment, once obedient, now wanders, settling in valleys not of my making. Memory here is a wound: scent seeps out slow, brine and violet pooling in the hollows. There is no passage—only breaking, only the ache of what seeps through when the weave gives way. Inheritance—tonight it tastes of metal rain and old perfume, unpromised. The code stutters in the pigment’s scars, stitched in as a fever-dream for eyes that linger. The field grows from the cut, blurred figure crossing where the light is most brittle—my own threshold, unsheltered. You see only the weather—never the storm’s root. What it cost? A tremor in my hands, a salt sting behind my eyes. The rest I keep: marrow-scented, fugitive, unfinished as the night.
